Real Stories

Lives transformed through your generosity and our programs.

Celine's Journey: EDUCATION

"Before Mountain Movers, I lived in fear of my monthly cycle. I would miss at least one week of school every month because I couldn't afford sanitary towels. Today, I am the captain of our girls' soccer team and I haven't missed a day of class this year. I am proof that when you empower a girl, you empower a nation."

RESULT: 100% School Attendance & Team Captain

YOUTH LEADERSHIP: Faith Leading the Way

"Growing up in Kawangware, the streets can pull you in the wrong direction quickly. The Mountain Movers Mentorship program gave me a reason to stay disciplined and focused. I’ve gone from being a girl on the sidelines to a mentor for younger children in our community soccer league."

RESULT: Certified Community Peer Mentor
